Fourth in the driver standings only five points behind the leader, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin has one goal for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series season-first race in Quebec, this week-end : to reach the highest step of the podium. Behind the wheel of the #47 WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare Dodge, road course expert finished fourth at his last two races at Circuit ICAR, in 2011 and 2012.
“We had the chance to have a private practice session at Circuit ICAR, on June 10th, offered by Dodge Quebec for all Quebec Dodge drivers, and we made some testing laps with the #47 WeatherTech Canada /Bellemare. We are confident that we can have another strong race, especially after we won the first race of the season. All the team aims at the podium and wants to accumulate the most points for the championship”, said Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, who won the first race on road course this season, at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
Races in Quebec have always been meaningful for Jean-François and Louis-Philippe-Dumoulin. “I’m always looking forward to race in Quebec in front of our fans. ICAR is a very narrow and technical track and we have to find the good car set-up and be there at the end of the race. Once more, it will be a very good show for our fans. It’s always a pleasure for me to drive the n°47 WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare Dodge and I can’t wait to be on the track again”, said Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
Competition is fierce and since the beginning of their racing career, the Dumoulin brothers have never stop wanting to perform, no matter in which series. Jean-François and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin always meet on the track with the same passion and fun they had at the beginning.
