STROUD, ON (August 31, 2017)- The solid performances keep coming for Lisa DeLeeuw, as she scored her second straight top-10 on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
She showed speed from the get-go, scoring a pair of sixths in her qualifying heats.
Starting the feature in second, she battled for the lead early before fading back a bit through the field, including a three-wide battle for fourth. As things shook out, she ran 12th with seven laps to go. She would avoid a spin on the restart, allowing her to move up one spot to 11th. She then got a solid final restart, making some passes to cross the finish line in the 10th position.
In the post-race results, she would be bumped up to ninth as a result of a disqualification in post-race technical inspection.
She will return to Sunset Speedway this weekend on Saturday, September 2 in the 15th night of points competition.
