Fraserville, Ont. September 22, 2013. Jason White finished the 2013 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series season on a high note at the Pinty’s 250 at Kawartha Speedway.
The team’s Bowers & Wilkins Dodge performed well in practice the team fin tuned the handling and #21 earned a 17th place start for the main event.
White’s priority for the race was to improve track position, which included strategizing to delay pit stops. His tactics worked well and he began to collect spots in the field, running near the front and battling for as high as third place.
The Sun Valey, BC driver of the #21 ran into some trouble when he was caught up in an incident with another car, suffering some body damage to the Bowers & Wilkins Dodge. Despite that hurdle, White felt the car ran great.
“I ran one of the fastest laps of the race at 17.5, that’s faster than I qualified,” White said after the race.
White battled to the final lap, eventually finishing 12th, advancing five spots from his start.
White closed out the season in eighth place in the overall standings, with 375 points.
“This was a really great car, I’m so proud to have worked again this year with DJK Racing,” said White. “I can’t thank my guys enough for all the hard work and long hours this season.”
