Here’s our first look at London Recreational Racing team member Kelly Balson’s ride for the 2015 season. The Hampton, ON driver will return to the OSCAAR Super Late Model Tour for a sophomore campaign, in search of his first career tour victory. Over the off-season, Balson confirmed that he would once again welcome back Crew Chief Graham Flett, but would also work closely with GTA Racing Design founder Graham Annis on a fulltime basis. Balson’s return to OSCAAR competition will be made possible thanks to Mike Schmidt’s London Recreational Racing, Cochrane Automotive, Bennett Chevrolet Cadillac of Cambridge, Castrol and GTA Racing Design. Sauble Speedway rising star Josh Stade (above, by Ashley McCubbin) recently took part in the Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo at Toronto’s International Centre. The Chesley, ON driver appeared as part of an autograph signing and information session for the upstart APC United Late Model Series presented by Grisdales. Post-show, we caught up with Stade, and asked for his thoughts entering the 2015 season. ‘Prime Time’ tells us all about his busy schedule, his newly acquired chassis, what his hopes are for the Summer and where he sees the new tour headed. Ohsweken Speedway Mini Stock competitor Lucas Lubin has sent us a sneak peek of his off-season preparations. The Hamilton, ON-based driver will once again return to Friday night competition at ‘The Big O’, with hopes of earning 2015 championship honours in what has become one of the most talent-laden entry level divisions in Ontario. Lubin’s full-time schedule will be made possible thanks to the support of Car Owner and Crew Chief James Egerland, Eggz Custom Fab and The Local Skate Shop. Sunset Speedway Mini Stock feature winner Miles Tyson has been working feverishly on his family-owned entry for the upcoming season. The former Karting standout will join a Sunset entry list of over 40-cars for his third season of Mini Stock competition. Tyson has sent along a sneak peek of his entry for his upcoming campaign. Sponsorship for the teenager’s season will be provided by Uxbridge Auto Wreckers, JMX Demolition & Environmental and Tyson Contracting.
