Thunder Car veteran Dan Price brought Peterborough Speedway to its feet on May 31st, when he charged from 7th on the grid to claim his first career feature victory. With 15 seasons of racing to his credit, Price’s first ever win was a moment of pure elation for a crowd of supporters that flocked to victory lane to celebrate. Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup driver Mike Nelson is preparing to make a return to fulltime competition this Saturday, June 7th, when the tour kicks off their 2014 season at Sauble Speedway. The Peterborough, ON driver joined us at Sunday’s Mini Stock Nationals to offer a preview of the upcoming LOSC season, the upgrades he’s made to his family-run program and his strategy for the ‘Sportsman Cup’ lid-lifter at Sauble. Here’s a look at 2013 Peterborough Speedway ‘Chase for the Colours’ winner Chris Mulders car after Sunday’s Mini Stock Nationals event at Kawartha Speedway. ‘The Silencer’ made hard contact with Kawartha’s turn-2 retaining wall after battling alongside a fellow competitor, destroying the front end of his Farm Bro. Racing entry. Mulders has confirmed the car is beyond fixing, and hopes to debut a new ride before Peterborough’s 2014 installment of the ‘Chase for the Colours’ on June 29th.
