GRAND BEND, ON – The NAPA Auto Pro Ultimate Showdown (formerly known as The Stratford Spectacular) has moved to a new date. The event has been traditionally held in mid to late July but for 2018 the event will be held on Father’s day weekend June 15-17, 2018.
This is the largest community organized drag race in Canada, running for over 22 years this event is still organized and supported by Stratford and area businesses.
This support allows for this weekend to also be one of the best deals of the year where you will get to see: 250MPH Pro Mods, Nostalgia Nitro Altereds, a Nitro Harley, a Jet Truck, Alcohol Funny cars, a Jet Dragster, dozens of 200 MPH Top Sportsman/Dragsters, fireworks and hundreds of GBM Thunder Series racers.
All of this for only $40 per carload (Sat. or Sun.). To make this great deal even better, everyone who attends on Saturday, can return on Sunday for free (must have the same vehicle/sticker), and you do not have to be from Stratford to receive the discounted admission.
In addition to the already great value, Tourism Sarnia-Lambton, in conjunction with their Cruise the Coast initiative, is ensuring that anyone riding a motorcycle will also receive a discounted admission. Entry for any motorcycle (with or without a passenger), will be only $15 (Saturday, Sunday, or both).
“It was important for us to add a motorcycle element to the Ultimate Showdown event. This is our way of saying ‘thank you’ for all those riders who made “Fathers Day Harleys by the Beach” an annual event.
We are still including the Harley Racing class on Sunday, but now everyone will get to see a much larger, more diverse show at a lower price,” said Paul Spriet of Grand Bend Motorplex.
