ELGINBURG, ON (September 9, 2017)- The 2017 DIRTcar 358 Modified regular season has come to a close and Herrington Motorsports driver Bobby Herrington says it was a successful season for the #25 team. The 26 year-old from Elginburg, ON spent the year running primarily at Brockville Ontario Speedway where he finished second in points.
“We won our heat race and the final main event of the year at The BOS, then finished 5th in the Tri-Track Challenge for feature event winners from Mohawk, Brockville and Cornwall,” Herrington said. “Cornwall’s 125 lap finale was delayed until the holiday Monday because of rain. I was running second and in a position to win, but dropped-out after cutting a tire with about 9 laps to go.”
Bobby Herrington says their TEO Pro Car was strong throughout the regular season and the crew is looking forward to running some of the late season events on the calendar. Nothing’s been carved in stone as yet, but the driver expects to travel to about a handful of the year’s remaining dates.
“We’re looking at a couple of shows fairly close to home, before heading to the Super Dirt Week satellite shows at Brewerton, Utica Rome and Weedsport,” said the driver, who recently concluded his 10th season of action at the controls of a 358 Mod. “I still like running some of the other tracks on the circuit. Its good to have the opportunity to run against some different competition.”
