HALTON HILLS, ON- Second-generation racer Gary Klutt will return to the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 this Sunday, August 10th when the series returns to Quebec for the fourth and final time this season as part of the 45th edition of the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres.
The ‘JuliaWine.com Le 50 Tours’ will mark Klutt’s first career series start on the demanding street course, a fact that Klutt maintains is part of the excitement of GP3R weekend.
“I can’t wait to put my first laps down”, beamed Klutt when reached for comment. “This is one of those events that just has so much history, that it’s an honour just to be a part of it”
“This is a brand new experience for me, which makes it all the more exciting. I’ve never competed with the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series on a street course. I don’t really know what to expect, but I look forward to the challenge”
Klutt returns to the series after a head-turning 8th place performance at Circuit ICAR in July, and is motivated to improve upon his 2014 debut.
“I was incredibly proud of our efforts at Circuit ICAR”, said Klutt. “We made sure to let everyone know we were there. I think we surprised a few people”
“The guys back at Legendary Motorcar have been working really hard to give me a great car for this race. I can’t thank Jeffrey & Scott Newhouse and the entire team at Canadian Title Loans (CTL) enough for the opportunity they’ve given me this season, and I would love nothing more than to repay their confidence in me with a top-5 performance”
