@FlamboroSpdwy • Hamilton, ON (September 24, 2015)- Temperatures are cooling off and weekly race schedules are winding down. Officials at Flamboro Speedway have found a way to put some extra heat into a late season event. They’ve added a Vintage Modified Invitational to the Saturday, September 26 program.

Promoted by Kawartha Coupes and Coaches based in Lindsay, Ontario the show – which is part of the track’s Memorial Night – will be a tribute to past racers. Spectators are asked to wear a red hat, in remembrance of a former racer. Rob Clark, from Kawartha Coupes and Coaches says around a dozen competitors and teams are expected to run qualifying heats and an ‘A’ main event.

“We’ve heard from a number of drivers including 2015 Canadian Vintage Modified Series champion Jason Keen, veteran racer John Karley, ‘Kid’ Cassidy March and Dustin Hood,” said Clark. “Several other teams are expected to be part of this memorable event, which will be the final time the coupes and coaches run this season.”

In addition to the Vintage Modified Invitational, this weekend’s Memorial Night at Flamboro Speedway will see the 2015 champions crowned in the track’s five regular racing divisions. Grandstands open at 5:00 with the first green flag Saturday, September 26th at 6:30.

Don’t miss the chance to see these exciting full-sized replica racing machines from a by-gone era at the Vintage Modified Invitational – part of the annual Memorial Night – Saturday, September 26 at Flamboro Speedway.
