July 20, 2014- After a relatively quiet weekend last week with Mohawk International Raceway having the night off and a second place finish at Brockville, Dylan and the Evoy Racing team were looking forward to getting back into the usual weekend routine, racing both Friday night at MIR, and Saturday night at their home track in Brockville.

Evoy began the evening with a second place finish in his qualifying heat race after starting sixth.  The team was optimistic that the bad luck they had to close out the month of June was well behind them.

Dylan started the 25 lap feature from the 13th starting spot, and had moved to eighth when the first caution was displayed at lap eight.  Evoy continued to move forward until late in the race when the car suddenly became to tight.  He crossed the finish line in fifth place, and was soon determined that he had a slow leak in the right rear tire.

On Saturday night at Brockville Speedway, Evoy finished his qualifier from the third position, and after making some changes to the car he was ready for the 25 lap main event, starting from the eighth position.

After just two laps, Evoy lost all his track position after contact from another car sent him over the banking.  When the race restarted, Evoy was at the back of the field with a long way to go to get to the front.  It didn’t take Dylan long to get going again though, as he made his way back into the top ten with just six laps complete and was inside the top five just three laps later.  In typical Evoy fashion, he patiently worked his way forward and by lap 16 he was up to third and looking for more.

As they hit lap 18, Dylan made his move for second place, and grabbed the top spot with just two laps remaining.  He went on to score his fifth Brockville Speedway win of the 2014 season.

“The car was real good again tonight”, says Evoy.  “I really have to thank my family for all their support as well as the crew and all of our sponsors and fans.  “It was a good points night for us, and hopefully we can continue to battle for the championship over the final few weeks of the season”.

This coming weekend, Dylan will be back at Mohawk International Raceway for the 2nd round of the Frenchie’s Ford “Go Further” Series.  It will also be a Seaway Sportsman Series, with several invaders expected to be on hand along with the usual strong field of MIR regulars.  He will return to Brockville Speedway on Saturday night looking for win number six.

Dylan and the Evoy team would like to welcome True Speed Canada as a sponsor on their #83 Bicknell.  True Speed Canada is local company offering high speed internet solutions.

The Evoy Racing team would not be possible without assistance from great companies such as Ogilvie’s Auto & Fleet Service, Plooy’s Plumbing and Heating, 1000 Islands RV Centre, Napa Auto Parts Universal Supply Group, Genesis Racing Shocks, Upper Canada Electrical, RVB Machine Products, True Speed Canada, Fireball Performance Automatics, MIE Autobody and Collision, Thousand Islands Concrete, Linde, Canadian Tire, Wurth, KnowBrockville.com  and NGK Spark Plugs. A special thanks also goes out to ‘Stick’ and ‘Big Block’ for their help and support.
