Stroud, ON (June 20, 2017)- The fact that Eric Yorke had to start deep in the field on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway didn’t phase him, as he drove his way to the front for the third feature victory of 2017.
The Milton, Ontario native started off the night well, finishing second in both of his qualifying races.
Forced to start 18th as the points leader, he immediately made his way up through the field, running ninth as of the first caution at Lap 2. Over the next pair of quick back-to-back cautions, he was able to continue making up ground, ,moving into fourth with 20 laps to go. On the restart, he was able to make his way by Johnny Paradzinski to move into the runner-up spot. Then on Lap 7, he would get alongside Samantha Shaw for the lead, taking the top spot a lap later.
From there on, he pulled away from the field, distancing himself to 2.849 seconds ahead of Charlie Smith at the checkered flag for the victory.
Yorke and DY Racing are proud to be supported by Can-Alignment Motorsports, Solex Steel, Partimer Signs, Skytec Rentals, Budget Tire, Scentsy Consultant – Lisa DeLeeuw, and Cabral Racing Promotions.
