Stroud, ON (June 20, 2017)- Starting mid-pack, Cameron McGlashan drove his way through the field en route to a top-five feature.
The McGlashan Motorsports driver started off the night by posting a third-place finish in each of his qualifiers.
Starting the 25-lap feature in 13th, he began to make up ground right from the drop of the green flag, running 11th as of the first caution at Lap 2.
Restarting just outside of the top-10, he was unable to make up ground over the course of the next three laps as a result of back-to-back cautions and starting on the inside with nowhere to go.
Once the race went back green and some laps were put down, he was able to make up some ground, battling side-by-side for seventh with Doug Butler at Lap 11. He completed the pass a couple laps later, followed by passing Johnny Paradzinski for fifth on Lap 17. He wasn’t done there, though, making a move on Samantha Shaw with three laps to go to cross the line in the fourth spot.
For McGlashan, it marks his third top-five of 2017, and continues his streak of finishes outside of the top-10 in 2017. He will look to keep the momentum going on June 24 at Sunset Speedway.
