Stroud, ON (May 3, 2017)- Running up front throughout the feature, Eric Yorke started off this season at Sunset Speedway with a podium finish.
The past division champion began his night by finishing third in both of his heats, to set him up to start upfront for the 25-lap feature. He took advantage of his starting position, getting alongside Charlie Smith for sixth at Lap 3. He got the spot, followed by passing Mike Robinson Jr. to move into fourth by Lap 13. He tried to keep the momentum rolling with a pass on Nic Montanari for fourth, but unable to make the pass as the leaders made their way through lap traffic.
Following the first caution at Lap 15, he continued to run fifth all the way till a caution for a competitor ahead of him came out with three laps to go, which allowed him to move up to fourth. He then used the final restart to his advantage, passing Warren Paxton to finish third.
Yorke will be back at Sunset Speedway on May 6 in search of another strong finish.
