(May 28, 2017)- With an off-weekend to regroup, following what eventually became a pair of events spread over three days, the Trailers Plus.net Eastern Ontario Legends Series will continue its inaugural season of action with back-to-back shows Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3.
For the first time since 2014, the Legends Series will be part of a Friday night event at Kawartha Downs and Speedway at Fraserville, Ontario. The spacious 3/8th-mile layout – just south of the highway 28 and 35/115 interchange – will host a show featuring the OSCAAR Super Late Model, Modified and Hot Rod divisions. Pit gates will open at 3:00, with the general admission grandstands unlocked at 5:00 and racing getting underway at 7:00.
See www.ontariolegendsseries.ca for a printable coupon to save $5.00 on main grandstand admission.
The next night, the tour will head up highway 28 and return to Peterborough Speedway for the second time in 2017. The first of this year’s Summer Fan Appreciation/Toonie Spectator Grandstand Admission Nights will also feature the home track 4Fun, Mini Stock, Renegade Truck and Late Model classes, with a 5:00 green flag. Jeff Drimmie – who along with Andrew McFadden, Kevin Foisy and Geordie Ledson make-up the Trailers Plus.net Eastern Ontario Legends directors – says teams are looking forward to getting back on the track.
“The season is starting to hit top-speed and that’s something that gets our drivers excited,” Drimmie said. “We have a good mix of young racers who are looking to get some experience on a variety of different tracks and a strong group of veteran runners to show them the quick way around. We’re still in the early stages, but it promises to be a great year for the Trailers Plus.net Eastern Ontario Legends Series.”
