Another local motorsport season is winding down. Racers with the GEN3 Electrical SportsMods presented by OMRS will mark the end of the 2026 schedule with an event at Peterborough Speedway’s 33rd annual Autumn Colours Classic.
The group’s latest marquee event – on Friday, October 9th – will also see the crowning of the overall champion after an exciting line-up of action at the popular Central Ontario oval and the Hamilton, ON area’s Flamboro Speedway. Heading into the Thanksgiving Weekend showcase, positions in the final point standings are anyone’s guess.
Despite suffering a blown motor during the Saturday, August 29th Robert Maebrae Memorial, reigning champion John Baker Jr. holds a two-point advantage over Chad Strawn. Brad Stevenson, Garrett Yake and Ethan Thompson round out the top-five in the running order heading into the season finale.
“It was a great regular season and everyone associated with our group is looking forward to the championship run – Friday, October 9th – at the Peterborough Speedway Autumn Colours Classic,” noted the series.
