CAYUGA, ONTARIO (May 7, 2013) – Safety is a most important aspect of auto racing, and protecting drivers and spectators is paramount. Three drag racing series, the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series, is pleased to work with the services of CODE4 Fire & Rescue, Cold Fire Canada, and Jones Brown Insurance, all part of the series’ Safety Initiative Program.

Cold Fire Canada, CODE4 Fire & Rescue and JB Motorsport Insurance join Leaf Racewear & Safety Equipment as the preferred safety equipment supplier and continue to provide a vital role for the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series.

Cold Fire Canada has long been involved with motorsports, offering an environmentally-friendly extinguish agent that puts out any fire. This agent cools heat and fire 21 times faster than water, and also works to remove heat and fuel sources to prevent re-ignition. It is available from small single applications to bulk quantities depending on the situation. Cold Fire products will be used for all fire suppression safety at PMRA, Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and PBSS events during the season.

The 2013 PMRA season gets underway May 10-11 for the Thunder Nationals, the first of eight events for the series this year.

The Thunder Nationals will begin Friday, May 10 with qualifying at 6 pm. Qualifying will continue Saturday, May 11 at 2 pm with eliminations scheduled to begin at 7 pm. Also featured will be Jet Car action, Top Fuel Dragsters, and Super Stock racing.

US 131 Motorsports Park has been in providing top drag racing for over 50 years, and this year’s Thunder Nationals is the track’s 30th running of this popular opening event. For more information, go to www.us131msp.com

The PMRA www.PMRA.ca, races in conjunction with its companion series, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts www.Quick32.ca, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series presented by Wiseco Performance Products www.PBSS.ca throughout the year, presenting an exciting and colorful package of drag racing action.
