LONDON, ON – As a result of poor weather at the speedway and rain showers continuing into the evening, the race program Friday, June 1 has been rained out. The opening day for the chase for the championship will now take place of Friday, June 8 sponsored by Maple City Tire. The event follows up from last week’s thrilling pre-season shootout action.

The lineup for Friday, June 8 features the FT Garage Late Models, Coca-Cola Super Stocks, and a special 35-lap GAW Recycling Enduro Challenge. Spectator gates open at 6:00 pm, racing starts at 8:00 pm. The evening also features the Delaware Speedway Family Fun Pass which allows two adults and up to four kids age 16 and under into the races for just $32, or one adult and up to two kids age 16 and under for just $16.

With regards to the rained out races, the speedway is looking into the possibility of adding a night to the schedule later in the season to make up the date. Details will be announced at a later time. Delaware Speedway would like to thank its fans, drivers, and partners for their continued support. The chase for the championship kicks off next Friday!
