(June 22, 2018)- ADAMS Motorsports is proud to announce Darryl St. Onge will serve as the interim driver of the No. 99 Modified for the OSCAAR events at Jukasa Motor Speedway (June 23) and Sunset Speedway (July 1).
St. Onge is no stranger to racing competition, having picked up the Thunder Car Championship at Barrie Speedway previously. He also has experience behind the wheel in Late Model competition.
“We had a few decision to make and as a team, we wanted a driver that fit our style of racing,” ADAMS Motorsports co-owner Allen Adams said. “We have been friends with Darryl for years he is an awesome wheel man and a lot of fun to be around and work with so he will be a good fit.
“Looking forward to racing at Jukasa and just racing in general . We apologize for our absence and are ready to go racing.”
The decision comes as primary driver Luke Gignac is forced to sit on the sidelines while waiting for his hand to heal following surgery for a broken thumb. Gignac suffered the injury in the crash at the season opener at Sunset Speedway.
Past these two events a decision has yet to be made on who will be behind the wheel of the No. 99 Modified, pending Gignac’s recovery. Be sure to stay tuned to the ADAMS Motorsports website and facebook page for the latest updates.
The 2018 campaign marks ADAMS Motorsports fifth season of OSCAAR Modified competition after winning a pair of features and the championship last season with Luke Gignac. The veteran managed to score 10 feature top-10’s to go with six heat victories.
ADAMS Motorsports is proud to be supported by PBS Motors and Pumps, Dwinnells Family Movers, Heritage Heating, Morton Metals, OTD Building Supplies, Fox’s Bakery and Deli, Port’s Heating & Cooling, Imperial Limousine & Airport Service, WIX Filters, Harbour Electric, and TSS Top Shops.
