@GowanRacing @DBAutosport MUSKOKA, ON- With a top-15 finish in his OSCAAR Modified Tour debut fresh in his memory, former TQ Can-Am Midget champion Daniel Bois is not ruling out a second engagement with the tour in 2015.
“I have nothing but good things to say about the OSCAAR Modified Tour,” says Bois. “In my opinion, the tour regulars are some of the best drivers in the province. The compete level on the tour is incredible. Those guys are masters of their craft”
Bois’ Modified debut at Peterborough Speedway’s Autumn Colours Classic on October 12th was made possible thanks to a much-talked-about collaboration with OSCAAR Super Late Model veteran Shane Gowan and was an experience Bois speaks highly of.
“It was an absolute pleasure to work with Shane, Kelly, Charmaine and the rest of the team at Gowan Racing,” explains Bois. “That program is top tier. Their team handles themselves and their equipment with the utmost professionalism”
“It’s always tough for a team to get up to speed with a driver they’ve never worked with,” continues Bois, “but with Shane it felt like we’d raced together for twenty years”
With the short track silly season set to kick into high gear, it’s clear Bois is considering all of his options before making any announcements in regards to his plans for 2015.
“This is always one of the most exciting times of the year,” smiles the veteran. “I’m fortunate to be aligned with some incredible people, and we’ve been presented with some really exciting opportunities for the upcoming season”
“The OSCAAR Modified Tour is without question something I’m keeping my eye on,” continues Bois. “A 13th place in our first race is definitely nothing to thumb our nose at, but I’m positive we can take that car to the front. I wouldn’t rule out seeing me in a Gowan Racing entry in the future.”
Daniel Bois’ OSCAAR Modified debut was made possible thanks to Gowan Racing, Thermal Technology Services Limited and London Recreational Racing.
