#NCATS • #NCATSmpd • @CBRT25 • @JOEYMCCOLM • #NASCAR – TORONTO, ON – Canada’s Best Racing Team (CBRT) driver Joey McColm hasn’t slowed down one bit since his last race at Kawartha Speedway on September 20.

Finishing eighth in overall point standings, with five top ten finishes in the 2014 season, McColm has continued to prove himself as a strong racer in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series while simultaneously becoming a favourite driver among race fans across Canada.

McColm’s commitment to his fans certainly didn’t go unnoticed at the track, where he was often seen engaging with fans after races, despite some less than favourable finishes. Children walked away with smiles on their faces, clutching an autographed hat, poster, or if they were at the Victoria Day SpeedFest race, a signed piece of McColm’s car.

Strong marketing efforts from CBRT highlighted the importance of fan engagement via social media channels (using the hashtags #CBRT25), ensuring that major sponsors such as: PartSource / The Toronto Maple Leafs, TSC Stores, Mobil 1, Canada’s Best Store Fixtures, Espar, MV1 and Arlon gained maximum exposure.

When asked about his passion for racing, McColm stated, “I was (and still am) a race fan long before I was a driver. I remember meeting my racing heroes and cheering for them on race day. Now that I have the opportunity to provide similar experiences to my own fans, I wanted to focus on new and exciting ways for fans to engage with and be a part of Canada’s Best Racing Team. I can’t do what I do without the support of my fans, my racing family.”

As the season comes to an end, Canada’s Best Racing Team and McColm are full speed ahead, already focusing on the upcoming 2015 season. Many exciting projects are in the works, all of which maximize CBRT’s interactions with fans, both online and face-to-face. The next year is bound to be full of exciting racing, events and more!
