BOND HEAD, ON- When the OSCAAR Modified Tour rolls out for Round 8 of the 2014 season, they will do so without 2013 Rookie of the Year Branden Bullen. The third-generation driver was involved in a qualifying heat race incident in Round 7 at Sauble Speedway on July 27th that left the team with significant front-end damage.
“The last thing we want to do is be away from the speedway on a Saturday night, but the front end of our car is still in the process of being put back together”, explains Bullen.
The former Mini Stock regular last appeared at Peterborough in August 2013, when he earned a top-5 finish in a tour event.
“I’ve always enjoyed racing at Peterborough. They have some fantastic fans there and the track itself is a lot of fun. We’re certainly hoping to be back at Peterborough this season – whether it’s in the Modified or something else”
The 19-year old goes on to explain that his family-run team’s plans for the rest of the season are up in the air, and it’s not certain that they will return to the OSCAAR Modified Tour.
“We’re going to get the car back together no matter what”, says Bullen, “but it’s for sale right now. We’re looking at all of our options and seeing what’s best for us as a team. Right now, it’s not certain if that means staying out on tour, or picking up a new ride to go and race weekly somewhere”
“The next couple of weeks will really determine what we’re doing for the rest of this season and where you’ll find us racing in 2015”

Branden Bullen Racing would like to thank Dale Farren & Son of Snowball, ON and Knightworks Designs for their continued support through the 2014 season.
