@Sunset_Speedway • @OSCAARRacing • Stroud, ON (June 6, 2015)- Chad Strawn had a fast car and looked as though he could contend for a second straight top-five finish, but would fall out of contention as a result of a wreck during the feature.

Strawn started off the night by finishing second in his first heat. He then went and led laps in the second heat behind the wheel of the No. 77 Eibach/Kingsmen Kustoms Modified, but would lose by a bumper at the line.

The invert for the feature would have Strawn start in the fifth spot. The start would see him drop back to the sixth spot before the first caution at lap five. He then used the restart to his advantage, though, moving up into the third spot by lap 10. he would continue to run third behind Gary McLean and Brad Pearsall over the next set of laps, set for a solid finish.

However, the pieces would start to fall apart on a restart with 11 laps to go as hard-racing in the top-five brought forth contact, and that contact resulted in Strawn going around for the spin. As a result, he would have to restart the feature at the back of the field.

He would begin to make his charge back up through the field, looking to make a pass on Mike Hearty for a position. Hearty would move up the track, causing Strawn to get up into the outside wall and the pair to make contact together. The contact was significant, causing enough damage to end Strawn’s night early.

Strawn will look to bounce back this weekend when the Hoosier OSCAAR Modifieds head to Full Throttle Motor Speedway on June 13 for the first race of the Rick Woolner Memorial. Details about the event can be found via http://www.oscaar.ca and http://www.fullthrottlemotorspeedway.ca.
