Toronto, Ontario (May 17, 2013) – Entering year five of their relationship, Canadian Tire is pleased to announce that the 2008 and 2011 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Champion Scott Steckly will continue to sport the triangle on the hood of his vehicle in 2013. The 2008 and 2011 champion will kick-off the season this weekend at the Victoria Day Speedfest Weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

The Canadian Tire Dodge team and Scott Steckly have been working hard to prepare their cars to win races, thrill race fans and compete for the championship. The team has been testing and fine tuning the cars in preparation for the first race of the season, the Pinty’s Presents the Vortex Brake Pads 200 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, on Victoria Day Weekend. Steckly holds the track record here with a lap of 1:23.922 set on May 19, 2012.
