Toronto (ON), July 2, 2013 – With their first event of the season behind them, Canadian Supercar Series (Supercar) drivers are now ready to take to the track at Circuit ICAR, Mirabel (QC). This first visit on the very technical and flat race track will be challenging for the high performance race cars that compose the series.
Supercar continues to inspire and attract new competitors. This development series, in its first full championship season, has already reached to a great number of high-performance car drivers than expected. Exotic, powerful, and competitive, Supercar’s field this season will be composed of high performance race cars such as the Acura NSX, Dodge Viper, Ferrari 458 and Porsche GT3 is Super 1 (S1) Class while race cars such as the Audi S4, BMW M3, Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Mustang and Porsche 996/997 in Super 2 (S2) Class. The two Classes with compete at the same time on the track and challenge for supremacy in their class.
Drivers will get their powerful machines on the track starting Saturday morning for a practice session followed by qualifying in early afternoon. At 3:40 pm, the green flag will fly for the first race and competitors will do everything they can to get to first place.
Drivers will be back on the track for a practice session on Sunday morning. Fans will be thrilled to watch an exciting second race at 3 p.m.
