@CBRTinc • @GoTransAm • ATLANTA, GA – Broken records, beat up cars, and fast paced racing action at Road Atlanta this past weekend certainly gave fans and racers across North America a lot to take in. The weekend offered fans the chance to watch round three of the Trans Am Series, along with round two of Formula DRIFT.
Canada’s Best Racing Team (“CBRT”) was amidst the adrenaline packed action, with two-time TA2 Champion, Bob Stretch behind the wheel of the CBRT No. 83 Ford Mustang.
During Friday’s qualifying, Stretch finished in position 16 after experiencing some engine related issues. In partnership, the BRP Racing and CBRT crew worked hard that day to resolve the issues in order for Stretch to become part of record breaking history with the largest TA2 class of 38 cars to take the green flag on Saturday.
The race started off with a caution in the first lap after a crash involving two cars. Stretch drove hard and steadily made his way up into the top ten during the race. Proving that hard work pays off, Stretch overcame a few setbacks that weekend to finish the race in ninth place.
“I’m looking forward to getting back in the car. That Mustang sure is fast and capable of finishing on the podium,” said Stretch. “We have a solid team behind us; there is no doubt in my mind that the CBRT Mustang will be in the top five in no time.”
The combination of two well-known racing series at a world famous facility was the ultimate experience for race fans everywhere. CBRT took advantage of this opportunity to engage with tens of thousands of fans both online via social media and at the track.
