STROUD, ON (August 31, 2017)- After picking up the victory last weekend, Cameron McGlashan kept the good momentum rolling right into a top-five finish this past Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
McGlashan showed speed throughout the night, placing third in the first heat, followed by a runner-up in the second qualifier.
Starting 12th in the feature as last week’s race winner, he began to make his way forward from the drop of the green flag, breaking into the top-five on Lap 11. From there, he then moved into fourth on Lap 17 with a pass on Pat MacDonald. He’d get alongside Eric Yorke for third with four laps to go, but the caution flew for a spin in turn four.
He was solid on the final restart, crossing the finish line in the fourth position. However, a disqualification in post-race technical inspection saw him get credited with third.
McGlashan Motorsports are set to compete at Sunset Speedway on Saturday, September 2 as part of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series competition. It is a Fan Appreciation Night, with an autograph session scheduled at intermission so be sure to stop by and say hello.
