PETERBOROUGH, ON- Second-generation driver Anthony DiBello led every lap of competition on May 24th to earn his first career Thunder Car triumph.

“This is amazing. All the work we’ve put into this car over the winter – this is what it was all about”, exclaimed a jubilant DiBello post-race. “This was a perfect night. I’ll remember this for the rest of my career”

The Cannington, ON youngster impressed in practice and qualifying, setting the stage for his dominance in the 20-lap feature event.

“This car was great right off the hauler”, explained DiBello. “My guys gave me a fantastic setup tonight. My sponsors have given me an incredible package this season. I couldn’t ask for anything more”

DiBello started outside pole in the 20-lap event, capturing the lead on lap-1 and refusing to look back, turning away a number of late-race challenges.

“Nobody was going to take this one from me tonight”, said DiBello. “We’ve been hungry for our first win since our first night in a Thunder Car. I’ve played it out a million times in my head, but I never thought it would work out this perfect”
