Windsor Ontario’s Amico Racing kicks off their 2012 assault on the Canadian Touring Car Championship this weekend in Montreal. Dean Fantin, last year’s runner up in the Super Touring class returns as the driver of the #13 labourers Union BMW and additionally Scott Giannou two time winner of the Targa Newfoundland will drive the #80 HotBits sport suspension/ Fragola Fittings BMW.
The team hopes to pick up where they left off last year, consistently finishing on the podium and in the hunt for race wins.
“For sure this championship is all about consistency, we feel if not for the DNF at the Honda Indy last year we would have won the Championship. That’s all it takes one bad weekend and you’re in trouble so we’re going to do our best to stay on top and hope for a bit of luck all the same.” Dean Fantin
Returning this year in support of Amico Racing’s Canadian Touring Car Championship run will be the Labourers Union; HotBits sport suspension, Gunk automotive products and Permatex.
