Milverton, ON – (Thursday, August 4, 2022) – One of the most awaited events on the annual NASCAR Pinty’s Series schedule will be held this weekend in Trois-Rivières, Quebec on North America’s oldest street course. Les 60 Tours Rousseau Metal at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières will take place on Sunday, August 7th. The 1.53-mile street circuit with 11 turns is sure to host an exciting race!

Going into the race weekend Alex Tagliani is seventh in the 2022 NASCAR Pinty’s Series points standings, and Treyten Lapcevich is in ninth. In such a competitive series, both drivers are hungry to gain more points in this run for the championship.

Alex Tagliani’s unquestioned road course talent was highlighted last year at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, when he secured his third first place finish at the historic track. Finishing first at this track in 2017, 2018, and 2021, plus a first place finish last week in Saskatoon, Tagliani is holding on to his momentum and chasing another victory in Quebec with his No. 18 Viagra / St Hubert Chevrolet Camaro.

This will be Treyten Lapcevich’s second visit to the streets of Trois-Rivières, finishing fourth at this famed circuit last year he is searching for another solid finish with his No. 20 FBM / RGC Sports / Qwick Wick Chevrolet Camaro. Lapcevich has demonstrated a level of maturity and race craft that will keep him in the hunt for the win this weekend.

The race weekend kicks off with practice on Saturday, August 6th from 11:50 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by qualifying from 4:30 p.m. to 5:10 p.m.. Les 60 Tours Rousseau Metal at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières will go green at 2:18 p.m. on Sunday, August 7th.

The race will be 60 laps (91.8 miles), with a mandatory pit stop for fuel before lap 50 and the option for a tire change. In the event of rain, the race will go on as the cars will be equipped for wet weather conditions.
