(Halifax, NS, June 19, 2013) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour heads to the tight, 3/10-mile Scotia Speedworld oval, located just outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia for the Lockhart Truck Center 150 this Saturday, June 22nd.

The Lockhart Truck Center 150 marks the second of four stops at Scotia Speedworld on the 2013 schedule and round three of 12 for the popular stock car racing series. Grandstand gates for the Lockhart Truck Center 150 open at 3:00 PM; Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials will get underway at 5:10 PM with racing slated for 6:00 PM.

The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour comes off the Ron MacGillivray Chevrolet Buick GMC 150 at Riverside International Speedway last weekend which saw Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS) and John Flemming (Halifax, NS) showcase an impressive display of side-by-side racing. When the checkers flew it was Chisholm scoring his seventh career win in an event that saw an incredible 15 lead changes and an 88-lap green flag run. Former Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour feature winner Darren MacKinnon (Charlottetown, PE) came home in the third place.

Flemming was in victory lane just over a month ago for the season opening Lucas Oil 150 at Scotia Speedworld. The win was the eighth for Flemming at the Speedworld and the 18th in his career. Defending series champion Shawn Turple (Enfield) sits second in the standings after two races off the strength of a runner-up finish to Flemming at Scotia Speedworld on May 19th. Chisholm, Greg Proude (Springvale, PE) and MacKinnon complete the top five in the point standings. While Chisholm and MacKinnon are multiple time winners on the series, they have never won a feature at Scotia Speedworld, something they will look to change this Saturday night in the Lockhart Truck Center 150.

Also on the Saturday card with the Lockhart Truck Center 150 are two of the Scotia Speedworld Weekly Racing Series divisions; the Dartmouth Dodge Sportsman and Coors Light Trucks. For the Dartmouth Dodge Sportsman, it is their first extended feature of the season (50 laps) with the Coors Light Trucks running a 20 lap feature as the undercard to the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour. The balance of the Scotia Speedworld Weekly Racing Series divisions will run on Friday night at 7:00 PM as a part of AMP Energy Night.

Admission for Saturday’s Lockhart Truck Center 150 is $25.00 for adults; $5.00 for youth; pit admission is $30.00. Children 7 and under are admitted for free. Advance tickets are on sale now at all Ticket Atlantic outlets (Atlantic Superstores), by phone 902.451.1221 or www.ticketatlantic.com.  Tickets will also be available at the gates on race day (Cash Only).
