STROUD, ON (September 27, 2017)- After taking a year off away from the track, Terry Woodley returned to Sunset Speedway for this past weekend’s Velocity 250, scoring a top-20 finish.
Woodley started off the weekend by placing eighth in both of his qualifying heats, forcing him to run the Last Chance Qualifier on Sunday afternoon. He battled hard throughout the 15 laps, trying every which way he could pass Stefan Woyslaw for the lead, but was unable to as he crossed the finish line fourth. it was enough to qualify, though, with the top-five cars transferring.
Starting deep in the field for the 35-lap feature, he ran 23rd as of the caution at Lap 26. Restarting just outside of the top-20 with 10 laps to go, he avoided the incidents in the final laps while making some passes en route to a 16th-place finish.
