STOUFFVILLE, ON (February 2, 2022) – Calgary native Brett Taylor returns to Ed Hakonson Racing (EHR) running full time in the 2022 NASCAR Pinty’s Series.

Brett is hitting the ground running with new primary sponsor, North Country Property Maintenance Inc, and returning partners TCB Trailers, Choko Authentics, and Fast Eddie Racewear.

The team is excited to show off their newly built oval car this season. Team principal Jason Hathaway worked hand in hand with builder Mike McColl at McColl Racing Enterprises (MRE) to have this new car built to their exact specifications. Hathaway has years of experience and knows what works best to make sure this car would have the precise characteristics they were looking for and be a strong contender this season.

EHR Team Leader Jason Hathaway states that, “EHR is proud to have Calgary racer Brett Taylor back for our 3rd season together in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series. With a full season of 13 races and a brand-new McColl Racing oval car being built, we have high expectations for success this year and can’t wait to get started”.

North Country is on board for an exciting season, “The end game to a sponsorship is to achieve the best marketing objective. With EHR we have joined a team who has accomplished both business and racing success. Combined with Brett Taylor, an experienced and successful driver, we feel the partnership and success is endless” (Maryanne Corrado, Executive VP of Operations).

Spoken by the Canadian driver himself, Brett Taylor states that he is, “thrilled to run with North Country this season. Pat and Maryanne are great people and love racing. They have a beautiful family and a very successful business and we look forward to getting them into victory lane”.

“We have put a lot of effort into this 2022 season; we invested in a brand new oval car from McColl racing and committed to double our testing budget. Can’t wait to get some results on track this season!” says the six-year Pinty’s Series racer.

Additionally, Taylor “can’t thank TCB Trailers, Fast Eddie Speedwear and Choko Authentics enough for their return to the 2022 program. Jerry Hall did a great job with the car layout. Its awesome having a group of people around you that supports you and believes in what we do”.

Taylor also mentioned there is one other partner on the brand new car this year, Guitar Works Canada. Giving fans a ‘sneak peak at a new sponsorship he is excited to tell more about when the arrangement is solidified’.

The 13- race 2022 NASCAR Pinty’s Series opens competition Saturday May 14th at Sunset Speedway in Innisfil, Ontario.
