St John’s NL (June 26, 2017)- The Targa Newfoundland Tom Hollett Memorial Bambina is shaping up to be one of the most exciting Canada Day weekend events on the island of Newfoundland.
For car and race enthusiasts, this means three days of excitement, speed and plenty of action on the streets of the scenic Burin Peninsula.
A car show showcasing all 20 competitor teams and their vehicles takes place at 7 p.m. in the Town of Burin. The race officially launches Saturday morning at 10:45 a.m. in Jean de Baie.
The race continues in Spanish Room at noon, followed by Rock Harbour at 12:45 p.m. and clues up in Path End at 3 p.m.
Leg two begins Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. in Burin, leading into Garnish for 10:15. The second leg concludes in Frenchman’s Cove at 3 p.m.
On Holiday Monday, the competition comes to a close with final runs in Rushoon at 10 a.m. and finishing in Parkers Cove at 1:30 p.m.
