CHERRY HILL, N.J. (December 13, 2017) — Subaru of America, Inc announced today a new contingency support program for privateer racing teams competing with the Subaru BRZ tS model in the 2018 Pirelli World Challenge racing series.
The contingency program will award teams competing in TCA class for top finishing positions, as well as offer ‘launch money’ for teams building their first BRZ tS to enter the series.
The limited-edition 2018 BRZ tS, which stands for “tuned by STI” is the best handling BRZ edition ever with extensive performance and tuning upgrades from Subaru Tecnica International, making it a perfect fit to go from the showroom to the track.
“We’re excited to work with both Pirelli World Challenge this upcoming season to support privateers in the TCA class,” stated Subaru Motorsports manager Rob Weir. “With its factory upgraded handling, brakes, and aero, the BRZ tS is a perfect fit for this class.”

The 2018 PWC events that include TCA class are six Touring Car doubleheader weekends (40-minute, one-driver) and will be contested at COTA – March 23-25, VIRginia International Raceway – April 27-29, Lime Rock Park – May 25-28, Portland International Raceway – July 13-15, Utah Motorsports Campus – August 10-12 and Watkins Glen International – Aug. 31 – Sept. 2.
The BRZ tS is the best-handling BRZ ever. Subaru Tecnica International engineers have improved on the already legendary handling of the BRZ.
