Here and at the bottom of this post is an onboard video of Barrie Speedway Thunder Car driver Rick Walt’s run through the field at Barrie’s May 26th event.The 2011 Autumn Colours Classic champion picked up his fourth straight feature win after starting at the tail end of the field.
Walt, of Hawkestone, ON, swept the month of May in the Thunder Car division, and has not finished outside of victory lane in feature competition since September of 2011.

BRANDON WATSON: After a strong run in the first round of Sunset Speedway’s MRE Pro Series, Brandon Watson (below) has released his 2012 schedule. In addition to a full tour with the OSCAAR Super Late Models, Watson will run the entirety of the MRE Pro Series in addition to a number of marquee events at tracks across the province.
The team’s efforts will be supported by Royal Distributing, Shear Metal Products, Knightworks Designs, Barrie Frame & Alignment, Ken MacKinnon Construction and Smart Exchange. Watson’s schedule, in its entirety, is posted below.

GARY ELLIOTT: Sunset Speedway Limited Late Model regular Gary Elliott has confirmed with Inside Track that he will be in attendance at Sunset this Saturday June 2nd. The Waterdown, ON veteran had his only chassis virtually destroyed in the first round of Sunset’s MRE Pro Series on May 27th, with many wondering if ‘The Ironman’s season would be cut short because of it.
However, Elliott has reported the car is back in his shop after spending a number of days at London, ON’s McColl Racing Enterprises, and will be in action Saturday night.

JAMIE HORNER: Here is our first look at Kawartha Speedway Late Model competitor Jamie Horner’s ride for the 2012 season. The second-generation competitor will debut her new look at Kawartha’s season opener on June 16th. ‘The Gravedigger’ has confirmed she will run a full season at Kawartha, with hopes of launching a touring program later in the season.
