ANDY KAMRATH: Here’s the media debut of Sauble Speedway front-runner Andy Kamrath’s new look Limited Late Model for the 2012 season. The Owen Sound, ON product will return to Sauble for another full-time season, after a disappointing 2011 campaign that saw mid-season motor issues destroy the 22-year old’s chances at a first career championship.
Kamrath’s 2012 season will again carry primary sponsorship from AM Roofing Solutions and Watson Building Supplies of Barrie. Kamrath notes that the 2012 season will mark the 20th consecutive year his chassis has been in competition, an anniversary that Kamrath hopes to celebrate with visits to victory lanes across Ontario. In addition to his fulltime Sauble commitments, Kamrath hopes to embark on an ambitious touring schedule that will take the fan favourite across Southern Ontario.

MATT ROBBLEE: The 2011 season saw second-generation star Matt Robblee experience a breakout season at London, ON’s Delaware Speedway. The 24-year old turned heads all season long, piloting the same ABBY Motorsports #28 that his 9-time champion father Steve made famous. Matt’s efforts were rewarded with a 4th place finish in Delaware’s overall Late Model point standings. Heading into 2012, the rising star has announced a new opportunity for his short track career, as he will step into a Delaware Super Stock for a run at his first career championship. The brand new McColl Racing Enterprises chassis has been a labor of love for father and son, assembled over the off-season, ready to make its debut when Delaware’s campaign gets underway with the ‘Pre-Season Shootout’ on May 25th. Sponsorship negotiations are ongoing, though Matt has confirmed Vapezilla Electronic Cigarettes (www.vapezilla.ca) will support the team in a primary role throughout 2012.
