Geary, NB – (August 13th, 2018) – Drew Greenlaw entered the 2018 racing season at Speedway 660 with two goals in mind – to win the Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman championship and win an extended distance feature event.

After Saturday night, the Eastport, Maine youngster can scratch the latter off the list.

Greenlaw drove to the win in Saturday’s Firecracker Sportsman 150 for his first extended lap Late Model victory. The point leader in the Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman division raced to the win over Devin Snell (Saint John), who made a Sportsman start Saturday with the RE/MAX East Coast Elite Pro Stock division idle on the night. The margin of victory was under a half second at the end of 150-laps.

Alexandra O’Blenis (Boundary Creek) crossed the line in third with Clark Moore (Saint John) and Courtney O’Blenis (Boundary Creek) completing the top five. For the sophomore Moore, it was his best finish in an extended distance Sportsman event at his home track.

The top five finishers secured their spots into the Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman 150 on Saturday, September 1st. The SpeedWeekend Sportsman race will pay a whopping $7,500 to the winner.

Richard Atkinson (Geary), Greenlaw and Alexandra O’Blenis took home qualifying heat races in the Firecracker 150. Sixteen drivers answered the call to the green flag.
