(GEARY, NB – August 18th, 2019) – Coming off one of the biggest Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter events of the year, sophomore driver Randy Titus (French Lake) followed the race up with his first career feature victory on Fan Appreciation Night. Titus joined Curtis Collins (Barnesville), Shawn Hyslop (St. Stephen) and Ryan Messer (Harvey) as winners on the Saturday evening card at Speedway 660 in Geary, New Brunswick.

Titus, who was runner-up in the championship standings in his rookie season, locked down his trip to Riverview Ford Lincoln Victory Lane with a win in the 20-lap feature over multi-time winner BJ Gillespie (Harvey) and rookie Caleb Urquhart (Charter’s Settlement). Titus, Urquhart and freshman Tristan Harris (Harvey) captured heat race wins.

Shawn Hyslop and Ryan Messer each made a return to Riverview Ford Lincoln Victory Lane in their respective divisions. Both are racing partial schedules in 2019 at Speedway 660 and gave their home track fans something to cheer for on Saturday evening.

Hyslop won the 30-lap DMR Auto Street Stock feature. The reigning track champion raced to the win ahead of Chris Hanley (St. Stephen) and Roger Slocum (Chipman, NB), both of whom will be racing for a championship in the class next weekend. Hyslop and fan favorite Riley Goodwin (McAdam) took home heat race victories.

Messer, the reigning McLaughlin Roof Trusses 250 champion, topped a field of 15 RE/MAX East Coast Elite Realty Pro Stocks to take home Saturday’s 50-lap feature on Fan Appreciation Night. Steve Halpin (Saint John) and point leader Brent Roy (Hanwell, NB) joined Messer on the podium. Wyatt Alexander (Ellsworth, ME), making his first start of the season at Speedway 660 to tune up for SpeedWeekend, was fourth in the Pro Stock feature with John Rankin (St. Martins) in fifth. Ashton Tucker (Lyttleton) and Messer raced to heat race wins.

Collins took one step closer to his first Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman championship with his fifth feature win of the season in the class. The bad news for Collins is that Richard Atkinson (Geary), his closest competitor for the championship, finished behind him in both the heat and the feature event on Saturday. Luc McLaughlin (Geary) rounded out the podium finishers in the Sportsman division on Saturday. Clark Moore (Saint John) was the winner in the heat race.
