Merlin, ON- The pre-race pig roast and Memorial Feature races scheduled for this Saturday at South Buxton Raceway are being moved, due to the weather forecast calling for afternoon rain. We are still holding a regular race night, weather permitting. Please check the track’s web site (www.southbuxtonraceway.com) for updates on the status of the racing program in case of weather.
The pre-race pig roast will be held on Saturday, June 8, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
The four memorial races planned for the night – Gord DeWael UMP Late Models; Brian Outhouse UMP Modifieds; Cory Schives Mini-Mods; and Len Bryden Sport Stocks – are all being moved to Saturday, July 6.
A lot of planning has gone into both the barbecue and the memorial race tributes, and with the forecast not looking very promising, the decision was made early Friday morning to move both events.
But again, we are not cancelling Saturday’s races, we are still planning to hold a regular race night, in case the forecast is wrong.
