Silliker On A Hot Streak

GRAND PRAIRIE, ALBERTA – Team Silco Racing has been busy the past few weeks with Benjamin Silliker competing virtually every weekend in multiple divisions. Over the first part of the 2013 season, Silliker has been impressive, racking up feature wins and setting track records along the way.

Benjamin had won four A-main events going into this past weekend’s Regional Race at their home track in Langley, British Columbia, with three of those four wins coming right at Langley and another in Yakima, Washington. He got the weekend off to a great start by setting fast time in all four divisions, and setting new track records in three of them. In the A-Main events, Benjamin took the checkered flag in Jr. Animal division as well as Jr. Stock and finished second behind Team Silco teammate in the Jr. Honda division. He also finished fourth in the Light 160 class.

The busy 2013 season continues with a trip to Portland, Oregon coming up next week as the team plans to do some testing early in the week before the next regional race. After Portland the team plans to continue their western road trip to Livermore, California for some testing in preparation for the Western Grands that take place during the first week of July. The Silliker’s also plan to return to Chico and Red Bluff California where they race all winter and visit with their Outlaw Kart racing family and participate in a couple events.

While Benjamin continues to set track records and win races against much older children in several divisions at the age of eight, his brother Alex is just starting his racing career and is currently testing, and will soon follow the same path. Alex is currently five years old.
