June 17, 2013- GRAND PRAIRIE, ALBERTA – It has been a successful season so far for eight-year-old Benjamin Silliker and Team Silco early in 2013.  They were back on the road this past weekend with Regional Race #3 in Portland, Oregon as Silliker competed in the Jr. Honda, Jr. Animal, Jr. Stock and Mod divisions.

The team participated in a couple of test sessions leading up to the weekend’s events at the Portland track.  The extra time on the track paid off, as Benjamin qualified all four cars directly into the A-main.  The following day, Silliker won three of the four races he entered, taking the checkered flag in the Jr. Honda, Jr. Animal and Mod divisions, and finishing a strong second in the Jr. Stock category.

Team Silco will continue their western road trip with a stop in Livermore, California for some testing in preparation for the Western Grands that take place during the first week of July.  The Silliker’s also plan to return to Chico and Red Bluff California where they race all winter and visit with their Outlaw Kart racing family and participate in a couple events.

Benjamin Silliker and the Team Silco Racing team would like to thank all of the marketing partners that have contributed to the success of the team.  These partners include Northstar Energy Services.  All Class Fabrication, Evolution Racing Products, Tan Man Welding, Platinum Grover, Black Dog Drilling & Environmental Services, Pipe & Piling Supplies Ltd., Precise Surveys, Vye Development Ltd., QRC Factory Karts and Locked N Loaded Graphics.

For more information on Team Silco Racing, included driver bios, schedule, results and links to the websites for our Marketing Partners can be found on our brand new website, www.teamsilco.ca.
