@ShellMotorsport • AUSTIN, TEXAS (October 22, 2015) – Scuderia Ferrari Driver and four-time Formula 1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel hit the ground running upon arrival in Austin, Texas, as he wowed media with his driving skills at Driveway circuit on Thursday ahead of the United States Grand Prix.

The German driver, who won the US race in 2013, excited his VIP passengers during a Shell driving experience event in a Ferrari F12berlinetta, designed to showcase the power and performance of Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Premium Gasoline and Pennzoil PurePlus Technology™ lubricant available in the United States.

Shell has helped power Vettel and Scuderia Ferrari to three race victories so far this season, with five new powerful upgrades of Shell V-Power Nitro+ race fuel having been introduced throughout the year.

Formula 1 allows Shell to test its products under the most severe and controlled conditions and the learnings gained by working with Scuderia Ferrari is transferred directly to the development of Shell’s commercial products.

Vettel said: “I had a lot of fun out on track today with the Shell passengers. I hope I was able to show them just how important Shell fuels and lubricants are to helping improve the power and performance of a road car. On the race track, Shell race fuels and lubricants really do make a difference to the performance of my SF15-T Formula 1 car. I am really looking forward to racing again at the Circuit of the Americas, a place where I won in 2013, and I will be pushing very hard to repeat that result this year with Scuderia Ferrari.”

Up to 50 people in Shell labs and facilities around the world invest over 21,000 hours each year on research and development for the Technical Partnership. Furthermore, every new Ferrari road car leaves Maranello with a full tank of Shell V-Power fuel and is prepared with Shell Helix Ultra with PurePlus Technology lubricant.
