TIVERTON, ON- Two-time reigning and defending Sauble champion Scott McTeer enters July 5th competition at ‘the Beach’ ready to take down his second victory of the 2014 season.
“We’ve had a great car all season, but now we’re just looking for a way to get to the next level”, said McTeer.
The Tiverton, ON veteran has yet to finish outside of the top-3 in 2014, and has enjoyed a seemingly weekly battle with perennial rival Jason Parker.
“Jason [Parker] and I seem to bring out the best in one another. I don’t think there’s any denying that”, said McTeer. “He’s had his program on point all season. We’re just a tick behind him. We need to find that extra little bit of speed to get past”
“We’re running lap times comparable to both of our championship seasons. I don’t feel as though we’ve lost a step, the rest of the division has just picked it up”
McTeer is quick to note his team is taking advantage of every opportunity to improve their Expressway Trucks No. 49.
“The only way to improve is to step out of our comfort zone a little bit”, explained McTeer. “We’ve done that the last few weeks, and we’ve learned a tonne. Just because something doesn’t work the first time, doesn’t necessarily mean we don’t learn from them”
The two-time champion will enter July 5th 2nd in Ltd. Late Model points, just 12 markers back of current leader Jason Parker.
“We’re really not too focused on where the points are at right now”, shrugged McTeer. “This team is putting 100% of its efforts into getting this car back to victory lane. If we get this car performing the way it should be, the points will take care of themselves”

Scott McTeer and M3 Motorsports are proud to represent Lake Huron Rod & Gun, www.SecretsOfTuscany.com, Expressway Trucks, McGee Motors Ltd. and Carey Optical through the 2014 season.
