Ryan Semple Picks Up Heat Victory, Podium at Sunset Speedway

Stroud, ON (July 10, 2017)- The solid performances for Ryan Semple this season continued on Saturday night as he picked up another top-five feature finish.

Semple started off the night in victory lane, winning the first heat, followed by a third-place finish in the second qualifier.

Starting mid-pack for the feature, he began to make his way to the front, moving into the top-five just before the halfway point. He would remain there till the caution flew at Lap 19. Restarting inside the top-five, he moved up to fourth on the restart, getting alongside and passing Jade Franklin for third with five laps to go. He would try to run down the runner-up car, but was unable to before the checkered flag flew. As a result, he would cross the finish line in the third position.

So far this season, Semple has been impressive on a weekly basis, with this past weekend his fifth top-five in seven races this season. He will look to capture his first feature victory of the year on July 22.
