(August 30, 2017)- Robin Buck is back on track this weekend in the #43 Ontario Chrysler Dealers Dodge for round 11 of the 2017 NASCAR Pinty’s Series at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) this Sunday September 3. Buck is eager to do battle on his home track once again and expects his car to be working at peak performance right from the get go.
This race is one of the marque events on the calendar and Buck has had plenty of success on the famed 2.459-mile course near Bowmanville, Ontario.
“It’s always great to be back at CTMP, especially for a big event this weekend with the Truck series here. The crowd will be huge and it’s a track I know really well,” said Buck.
Robin Buck has had success on the world-class 11-turn road course in just about every discipline of racing, including podium finishes in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series and knows the keys to success for this challenging course.
“You have to be in a good position near the end of the race,” stated Buck. “We charged from 15th up to fourth last year, you can push to gain a spot during the race, but you also can’t overdo it and not have something left for the final laps”.
At the series-opening event the #43 Ontario Chrysler Dealers Dodge was a bit of a handful and Buck wasn’t able to come home with the finishing results he expected.
“We had a few growing pains,” explained the driver. “But Al Lebert and the guys at Avion Motorsports have done a lot of hard work and I’m confident we’ll be much better this weekend” he added.
Robin Buck and the #43 Ontario Chrysler Dealers Challenger team hit the track for practice and qualifying this Saturday. The green flag waves Sunday at 11AM ET for 200km of racing.
The race from CTMP will be broadcast on TSN September 9th at 2:30PM ET
