AYLESFORD, NS – April 8, 2022) – When it appeared that there would be no dirt track racing season at Valley Raceway outside of Kingston, Nova Scotia, drivers can now prepare for the Summer of 2022.

A group led by championship race car driver, car owner and local businessman Robbie Thompson and his wife Michelle have entered into an agreement to purchase the quarter mile clay oval. The track has been a hub of motorsports activity for the Annapolis Valley since Greg Banks and Peggy Gould opened the facility in 2014.

The new group will pick up where 2021 left off with a full schedule of 10 events in 2022. The season will begin on Sunday, May 15th with action taking place throughout the Summer and into the month of October on Sunday afternoons at 1pm. The group took nearby Lake Doucette Motor Speedway’s racing dates along with several major stock car events in the region into account when building the ten race schedule. The Four Cylinder, V8/Truck and Modified divisions will compete during each of the ten events.
