@Sunset_Speedway • INNISFIL, ON (July 28, 2015)- Despite having mechanical problems in the first feature, Rick Walt would bounce back for a top-10 in the second 35-lap feature at Sunset Speedway on Saturday night.

Walt started off the night on a solid note, by posting the sixth quickest time in qualifying. He started off the feature strong, running sixth and holding his own. However, at lap nine, a break in the rear-end would result in Walt stopping in turn four and requiring a push off of the track.

The crew would immediately go to work in the pit area on repairs, getting it fixed up for the second feature later that night.

Starting at the back of the field, he would quickly begin to move his way up through the field, moving his way up to 11th with 11 laps to go. On a late race restart, he was able to get by Scott Wylie to cross the line in the 10th spot.

For Walt, that marks his sixth top-10 finish this season.

Rick Walt and Walt Motorsports thank Cindy Snow ReMax, Rust Check Canada, Eisses Pumping Services, Jim Wilson Chevrolet in Orillia, Oro Collision, Simone Autosport, HOTC, Walt Fab, Seaton Structures, Pizzaville, Redline Graphics and Apparel, Innovative Plumbing Solutions, Red Castle Performance, and Trackside Innovations for the continued support.
