Mark Dilley Is Ready To Rebound At Autodrome St-Eustache

BARRIE, ON- Following a pair of mentally taxing events on the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series ‘western swing’, veteran Mark Dilley is eager to turn his season around at Autodrome St-Eustache’s ‘National 250’ on July 26th.

“I learned a long time ago to put your bad races behind you”, said Dilley, “and the two that we had out West definitely fall into that category”

The Barrie, ON driver appeared quick in both outings, before succumbing to rear-end failure at Edmonton International Raceway and a mid-race scuffle at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway.

“It’s all in the game”, shrugged Dilley. “It’s not always going to be roses. You’re going to go through some rough patches, that’s what we had out West”

“I’m excited to get back on track and bring home a solid run in this Johnsonville Sausage/Leland Industries No. 02 Ford”

The flat quarter-mile confines of Autodrome St-Eustache play to Dilley’s strengths as a short track specialist, and should provide the former national champion with ample opportunity to return to the podium.

“Short track racing is definitely where I feel most comfortable”, said Dilley. “St-Eustache is a speedway that lends itself to my style of racing. You have to get up on the wheel and muscle your way around, and that’s where I feel I’m at my best”

Despite his recent bouts of poor fortune, Dilley is quick to note his recent results are not at all indicative of the performance of his Micks Motorsports team.

“We’ve had some excellent cars this season, with absolutely no luck to go with them. There’s no doubt in my mind that we had a top-3 run taken from us at Edmonton and Auto Clearing. Our team is working nonstop to put us on track in competitive equipment, and I would love nothing more than to bring them home a win to thank them for all that they’ve been doing”
