LOUDON, ON (September 21, 2019)- Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team struggled during practice for round number 12 of the 2019 NASCAR Pinty’s Series season at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. But as we’ve seen time and time again this season, Team Mopar went to work and Ranger scored his fourth win of the season and holds an 11-point lead in the championship with one race remaining in the season.

During the Friday practice session Ranger couldn’t seem to get the most out of the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge.

“The car didn’t feel very good and I couldn’t get the speed I know we had” said the driver. The team made some handling adjustments to the car and Ranger posted the third quickest time during qualifying. “The car felt much better in qualifying and I knew we’d be better in the race” he stated.

When the green flag waved on the 100-lap event Ranger kept the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge near the front of the field until the first caution period. With the race distance right on the edge of the fuel mileage window, they decided to pit for fuel and also made a small handling adjustment.

“That was our strategy” explained Ranger. “We didn’t want to have a problem with fuel and have to save so we could race hard the whole race”.

As the race returned to green flag action Ranger began moving the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge back toward the front of the field and with less than 20-laps remaining was challenging for the lead. With eight laps remaining Ranger dove under the leader to take over top spot.

“Kevin (Lacroix) went high and left an opening and I dove right under him. He was making it hard to pass so when I saw the opening I jumped in” explained Ranger.

Ranger would go unchallenged to the checkered flag and claim his fourth victory of the season in the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge.

“I’m so happy, I have to thank the whole Mopar team. These guys worked so hard. We weren’t very happy with the car yesterday, but the car was great in qualifying. When we stopped, they made a little adjustment and it was rocket and I could go anywhere I wanted”.

The race win vaults Ranger back into the points lead but Ranger knows there is still work to be done for the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team.

“We have the lead now; it makes you a little bit nervous with one race to go. But we won at Jukasa earlier in the season, so now we have to focus, and everyone do a great job for one more race” stated Ranger.

With 12 of the 13 races on the 2019 schedule now complete, Andrew Ranger leads the championship chase by 11 points.

Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge will conclude the 2019 season at Jukasa Motor Speedway near Hamilton, Ontario this coming Saturday September 28th.
