Bowmanville, ON (September 3, 2017)- Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team once again claimed a podium finish at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) during round number 11 of the 2017 NASCAR Pinty’s Series this past Sunday.   The three-time former winner at CTMP scored his fourth podium result of the season with a third place finish.

Ranger’s car was quick right from the start of the Saturday afternoon practice and he would post the sixth quickest qualifying time later in the day.  When the green flag fell for the 51-lap race he was pushing the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge forward right away.

“The race started out in the wet and it was pretty tricky so I was able to jump up to second on the first lap,” said Ranger.

For the balance of the race the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge would remain near the front of the field.  As the track dried out the team would make pit stops for fuel and switch to racing slicks from the grooved rain tires.

“The team did a really good job with the pit stops today, got me out quickly to stay in the fight” stated the driver.

In the second half of the event Ranger would be running a strong third in the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge and hoped for an opportunity to improve his position.  That chance would never arrive as the entire race ran caution free.

“I tried to save the car a little bit to have something for the end, maybe a green, white, checker but never got the chance without any yellow” explained Ranger.  “But everyone worked really hard and did their best and we had a very strong result”.

Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team will return to action this coming Saturday September 9th at the Autodrome St. Eustache.
